Maria Vlahopouliotis truly embodied the essence of authentic Greek cuisine. As the daughter of a well-known produce grocer in San Jose, Maria celebrated her Greek heritage and love for food by founding Souvlaki Greek Skewers in 2012. Although Maria has since passed, her legacy continues through the restaurant, which remains in the family. The business has been lovingly passed to her sister, Karen, who upholds the same cherished recipes and traditions that Maria established, ensuring the flavors and spirit of Souvlaki Greek Skewers remain as vibrant as ever.
