We took the sunset cruise, which took us down to Chickamauga dam. The boat captain was extremely skilled and turned the boat around inside the lock. The guitar player on the top deck was alright. I was extremely disappointed in the charcuterie board this time, tho. I had one last year in April and it was an amazing charcuterie...perfectly planned, so many choices in meats, cheese, fruits, jams and honey. Last night was so chinzy...I paid around $100 for the "larger" charcuterie, which was only two very small charcuterie boards. Each board had one strawberry, about 10 blueberries, 3-4 blackberries, 3-4 raspberries, 4-5 grapes, 3 slivers of a white cheese, two extremely small triangles pieces of Gouda and a cheddar cheese. About 3 pieces of prosciutto, 3-4 thin slices of some kind of very gross spicy meat, and peanuts. It was very disappointing. Otherwise, we enjoyed ourselves.

Such a nice relaxing cruise, nice little 3 person band playing really good music. It was a lot of fun, it is also very kid friendly.

We came for an experience on the water, and this was fun. We got the pulled pork dinner package, and the sandwich was fine. The live music was good. We sat on the top deck to hear it. It was a blistering day at about 95 degrees, and shade was at premium. The shade shifted often as the boat moved, but there was a little breeze, so it was bearable. The lower decks were hot and stuffy, I wouldn't have wanted to be down there for the duration of the trip. We got to see some cool things along the river and it was interesting to see some of the industrial processes they use the river frontage. There was a little bit of wildlife, and the other patrons on the boat we're pleasant and to deal with. The one thing that can be vastly improved on is the amount of signage and information on how to get from place to place. That goes from everything on where to park to how to navigate around the boat. It was very Spartan on information for someone who was not familiar with the area.

We love how relaxing the trip is. We have done the trip a couple of times and enjoyed the announcer giving the story and history of the river. This trip I believe we only got it about 1/2 of the trip, it was disappointing. The chairs needed cleaning to remove bird poop. We still had a good time. But we feel that as the boat ages more attention to maintenance should be done.

Great first time experience.

It would have been great if the ac wasn’t set at 92 on a day when it was the same temperature outside and if they had give a little history over the PA system.
