The food here is the absolute best! Service at times is not the greatest, 30 min wait for drinks, dropping food off without silverware and by the time your waitress shows her face again your food is halfway cold. But the food itself, you can't get any better than this place.

The Lemonade, Sweet Potatoes, Mac and Cheese as well as the Banana Pudding were very good!

That wonderful husband of mine!!!!!!!! Aaaahhhhhhh! Hehe. I haven't had the time this week to cook soul food like I wanted to and I've been also wanting to try Soul Secrets for over a week. Man... They didn't miss!!!! He ordered me this whiting dinner, ordered him a 3 PC chicken and ordered my mom the 3pc chicken with potato salad and Mac and yessssssss... It came with cornbread!!!!! Finally a Soul food restaurant in Cincinnati that serves cornbread with no issues! My family is Southern based and we don't understand folks who eat greens without cornbread hahahah! Get mad! Lol. Fish was fried HARD and thick fillets of whiting. My container was a bit hard to close. This is how I remember fish dinners growing up. I thought about Ms. Lucas who used to be off of Gilbert Ave. for a second. If you know, you know. The Yams were better than mines! I need to step my game up. And that's saying a lot because I'm persnickety when it comes to yams. People often cook them with wayyyyyyy too much water and they end up being a mush mess and gross. The greens were good. You can taste the turkey flavor. I think maybe they added a bit of baking soda to Remove the bitterness (Google it) because I caught it in an aftertaste but it's nothing that turned me off. This was the best Soul Food me and my Southern husband and country mom have had in YEARS. Thank you.

I visited Soul Secrets to celebrate my birthday. My grandson suggested the restaurant. I am from out of town and I had him to chose a restaurant. To my surprise the food was excellent. Everyone was kind from entering the door, dining experience, and leaving. This is the place to go for a magnificent soul food experience. You will not be disappointed. I can't wait to visit Cincinnati again.

Despite not having a reservation and came a bit late, they were super accommodating, the staff was nice, and the whole place was a great vibe!

The food and my specialty cocktail were amazing. Love the atmosphere and music. We will definitely be back.

We were looking for chicken and we found it. Our server Dyamontre was very friendly and gave great service. My husband had the fish. My son and I got fried chicken. Mac and cheese and corn bread were great! The chicken was delicious.

I visit this establishment every 3 months when I'm in town for business. The food & service are ALWAYS great!! I had a slight issue with the food I ordered today, and the manager/owner rectified it IMMEDIATELY!!! I truly recommend this restaurant if you want fantastic food & service. You will NOT be disappointed!
