Thank you anthony. You know why!
Honestly a little disappointed. Had high expectations but food were mostly bland
Really nice food with big portions.
Good food. Very Hip spot. Great service and nice people
The vegan chicken (tofu) sandwich is delicious with I nice little spicy kick. Very affordable, and within quick walking distance from the Amtrak station.
Love this place! The food is amazing and they have a great selection of Korean drinks and desserts as well. Definitely check this place out!
Can't agree with the rave reviews of this place, unfortunately.
I visited this place on 8/12/24 in the early evening while stopping in Albany on my road trip to Houston.
Bulgogi bowl was fine; not earth shattering, but good.
Ice cream sandwich was really good.
Counter service was pretty bad. Reasonable questions ("does this tea have caffeine?"; "does this have a fried egg in it?") were met with derision, though this could have been just how I perceived the transaction. For what it's worth, I tipped >40%, though I regret having done so in retrospect.
I would order ahead or do take out.
Food was good but the dining area wasn't that great
Taking the Lakeshore Limited Amtrak from Chicago to NYC, we had an hour long layover at the Albany Rensselaer station. The food from the cafe car was meh, and I found Son of Egg, a short walk from the station.
I had a delicious bulgogi bowl, get the kimchi add on) and a cold beer. Food was solid, and the best thing I have eaten since getting on the train in Chicago.
The owner was kind, and the pork cutlet tasted like something I ate in Korea.
I saw so many rave reviews. The potato tornado was cold and stale. The mains were very bland.
Looks like they do a good takeout business but dining in, the service was cold as well.
I expected more.
The food is delicious the Crispy Chicken rice bowl is super yummy! The atmosphere is nice and relaxing.
