Visited during Restaurant Week (RW) on a Saturday night. We were seated around 7pm. Atmosphere was nice, not super busy which surprised us during RW. We finished dinner and drinks around 10pm. The atmosphere began shifting from restaurant to a night club around 930pm. Looked like things were getting ready to be electric! On to the food and service. First off, the server was great, even though overwhelmed. Seemed to be the only one running around. Since this was RW we had a choice of four main courses and a couple of us chose to upgrade to the ribeye. Unfortunately, the ribeyes that were delivered were about a 1/2" thick. I asked for the cook on mine to be "chef's choice" expecting the chef to cook the way "it should be". I only do this with ribeyes as the chef usually likes to show off and make it perfect. Unfortunately, my 1/2" ribeye came out medium-well. So, you know how that went. I'll take the blame here since maybe this chef prefers ribeyes more cooked through than me. My buddy had a slightly better steak as he ordered his medium-rare. They were so thin though. The ball of mashed potatoes was dry and might have been artificial. The asparagus was good. The other people in our party like their meals, which was shrimp alfredo or something. Pretty cool place with interesting decor! Lots of TV's which was great for watching football! Overall, it was a decent experience.
Just know if you drink Casamigos Reposado please double check before paying, they replace it with cheaper tequila, and the bartender gets mad when you tell them it’s not casa. Like If I wanted cheaper tequila I will ask for it
We had a horrible server named Raven who took over and hour to even take our order. Two people from our party were missing their food after everyone was done eating and she offered a “discount” for their food. Pretty sure she made it seem to the manager as if they showed up late and ordered later which was not the case. Thankfully the manager resolved the issue after clarification.
Lively space. Fun atmosphere. Saturday night vibes were good for a birthday celebration.
A KANSAS CITY MUST TRY EXPERIENCE! 5 STAR! This is a go to date night place for my husband and I. We've brought so many people here and recommend it to any one traveling to KC. Nothing but great service, food and atmosphere every time. It's hard to choose what to order because everything is absolutely delicious. Our favorite dishes are the Ahi Tuna Nachos, Spicy Cajun Chicken Pasta and Spicy Chicken Sandwich. The drinks are one of a kind too. My husband loves the old fashioned whiskeys from the Scarlet Room and I love Palauxma mocktails. The Scarlet Room has a "speak easy" feel, with the dim lighting and deep red velvet seating. The main area is more of an open, fun, high energy "night out on the town feel". Really perfect for any occasion.
Great drinks...food could be better...just ok
