ShopRite of Edison

I have placed three orders so far. I am totally disabled at home, unable to walk at all, soon to have 4 surgeries to walk again. It has been awful every time, one incident, none of my frozen meals were given to me, stating "out of stock", they were all I had to eat for the week. This time, none of my baked goods were available (which I always get something sweet for after dinner), (Shop Rite has a very large bakery dept. The problem with Shop Rite of Edison is when I tried calling them, and I did call every single department about 20 times right away to get someone to give me substitute items, not one of their phone extensions answered or picked up. The first week's order, the lady I spoke to on the phone promised me a $14.97 refund for the service fee, which I never received. All 3 times I placed an order, the Door Dash driver (who never ever speaks a word of English), calls me, yells at me, drives around for one hour telling me my address does not exist. I mean they really yell at me. This last time, the Door Dash man came into my room, shoved his phone into my face, scared me until I cried, screamed and yelled at me, and told me that my address is not on the GPS. Why then did Amazon and every store and other delivery person I ever ordered from always find me with no problem? This last time was store no. 573, Transaction Date: 03/19/2024 03:39 PM. Please ask the people at the store if you are out of stock, call us to get a preferred replacement item, it will take one minute out of their day just to be nice. And Door Dash - You need drivers who are bilingual, who won't threaten your disabled, older customers, and who can properly use a GPS. Or Shop Rite tell the Door Dash people where to go. I put it in my instructions, exactly how to get to my address, where I am, no one read this to the driver, I guess.

This store is an absolute disgrace when it comes to food safety! I avoid it like the plague, yet 3 out of the 4 recent times I've caved and shopped there, at least one item was spoiled due to their negligent storage practices. When I bothered to complain, seeking some semblance of accountability, the manager's pathetic response was to question why I'd even escalated the issue to him, as if his job isn't to address such glaring failures. This just screams of a complete lack of care from the top down. What a joke of management! 2/26/24 Update - I attempted to contact management using the link that was included in the response from them and not surprisingly the link doesn't work. I'm not even going to waste my time calling as I am sure it will be exactly that, a waste of my time.

The self checkout lines are 20 items or less and there were only 3 cashiers on registers. The lines were 6 deep. The line I got on (behind 3 people) soon had 2 ladies behind me. The cashier informed the lady in front of me that he was closed and to tell me she was the last person. I told him I had already been waiting on line 10 minutes and there were 2 people behind me. He said he would take me but I should tell the ladies after me to "go somewhere else". I told him that I would not tell them that. I wish I could say that I was surprised by the situation. It gets worse there everytime I go. You need to open more registers. This is ridiculous.

Good place to shop, a bit crowed on Sundays due to the week sales. Staff and cashiers are friendly and helpful. Also, very patience with rude entitled whom should curve their personalities. Anyway, the managers have a great team!!
