Shewa Ethiopian Restaurant

Very close to the National Arboretum, decided to stop in for lunch and pleasantly surprised. As soon as we sat down the owner brought samosas to the table. They were amazingly tasty. We decided on the Doro Wot and Veggie Combo served traditionally on one plate. Food was brought out quickly and very tasty. As good as or better than some other Ethiopian places in the area. The owner was super friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I thought my veggie combo was delicious but my friend was a little underwhelmed with his chicken doro because it had a flavor he wasn't too keen on. The smell of spices when we walked in was very good! I bought a loaf of fresh baked wheat bread that is probably the best bread I've ever eaten.

This is a small unassuming restaurant but the food and service deserves that you visit. We ordered an assorted array of items that included meat and it was delicious. We will definitely go again.

Some of the BEST Ethiopian food I’ve ever had! This place is a diamond in the rough! Dine in or Carry out… your choice! Great food, great owners, and great service! Also a LOT of food for the price!
