Shell Shack

Came in for a drink & lunch. The food was good as well as the cocktail. I would have stayed longer but the lack of personality and happiness from the servers made me seek a patio elsewhere.

First visit to Shell Shack in Plano and it will be my last. I arrived @4:00pm on 4.27.24. Place was about 1/2 full. There was a sports game blaring on the overhead so I could barely hear my server. I ordered an adult limeade, but they were out so she suggested some strawberry drink instead. I ordered 1 doz raw oysters. (I prefer grilled but they don't offer this option), crab stuffed tater tots, and jalapeno hush puppies. The oysters and tots were delivered in 10 minutes, before my drink. The tots were still cold inside and the oysters came with one container 1/2 full of catsup and no fork. I asked my server for another container but it never came. No condiments were in the table to make a cocktail sauce. The oysters were flavorless, like they had been sitting in water prior to serving. I expect better for $2 per oyster! The hush puppies were nothing special and had no jalapeno flavor at all. My drink never came before I rushed out of there. I'd had enough. When I was leaving, the hostess at the front door asked "How was everything?" I said, "I won't be back." She said "Oh, sorry." in an annoyed voice.

Food was awesome. Wait staff is super awesome!

Food was good, service great. The only thing is prices have more than doubled since Covid started. Even though snow crab was just 7.99 lb at my local store it was 35 a lb there. And the queen crab looked like regular snow crab. The service made up for that.

My food was hot and good! But the waitress wasn't as attentive as she could've been, we were waiting on our appetizer to come out , it never did, she said ticket was missing ‍♀️. But I like the food so I will still come back in spite of the service.

Holly is amazing!!! Love this location! Been to others but this place is the one and only.

We were a party of 4 and got the seafood boil. It comes complete with gloves and bibs, thankfully. The seasoning was delicious, and the service was friendly and prompt.
