Shaffer's Happy Hollow Marina

Cool little seafood restaurant. The entire dining area is outside under a pavilion with ceiling fans. We were here on a beautiful day so was nice. I had the fried catfish and my boy had the chicken tenders. Food was good and extremely fresh, made to order. Large quantities, more than I could eat. We were in town at the shooting range and will visit again when we come back to shoot.

Ate lunch there this past Saturday. Wasn't sure what to expect, but we pulled boats out there and what they were cooking smelled great. One of our group went in and got fried shrimp and after I saw his, I went in and got some. large quantity of large fried shrimp and they were "freshly battered" and not pre-battered frozen. VERY good. I will eat here again when were there. Cost was around $20 for the order, but the number of shrimp (maybe 12 or 14 large ) made it a good value. Definitely recommend

I have driven past this place at least 100 times and finally stopped. I had the combo catfish and frog legs. The food was good and the portions were huge! A little pricey but you get your money's worth.

Couldn't rate the food since we weren't there to eat. We were there to enjoy the "jam session " and "open mic " music on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4pm (though it usually lasts longer than that). They have the open air seating and eating area protected from the weather by plastic, with heaters for when it's cold and fans for when it's warm. Seating is rustic - benches, stools and picnic tables, but you won't find a nicer bunch of folks anywhere, and the entertainment is FREE! Next time, we plan to stay for supper! I can only say that the food SMELLS wonderful!

Me and my girlfriend were the first ones there for the evening and the chef brought us multiple samples just to be nice. Safe to say there wasn’t a thing we tried that we didn’t like. 10/10 service and was nice as could be. Will be back.

We just had lunch there and it wasn’t good. My husband had a steak with a baked potato and I had oysters and a salad. His steak was over cooked and tough and the baked potato was underdone and cold. My salad was wilted and ruined and the oysters were so spicy with hot sauce that they were inedible. We won’t be back.
