Clean, spacious and well lit store. As regards selection of goods, it depends on what you are looking for. For example, if you are looking for toiletries, nearby Target and Walmart have a better choice and better prices too

Great Safeway location.

Somehow they have made condom purchase super-duper awkward by placing them in a locker. One has to press a button, then wait for 5 minutes for an attendant and then spend time selecting the right pack under the supervision of said attendant. I guess shoplifting makes purchasing experience worse for everyone.

Horrible customer service. The sticker shows a different price than when actually billed. They don’t even agree to the price on the sticker and just straight up deny even when you show it them. The old lady at the billing and the manager really needs to be more honest and helpful to the customers.

I just had the most unbelievable BAD experience checking out at Safeway. The bagger just threw things in the bag to fill it up without any rhyme or reason. I finally stopped him as he tried to stuff a bag of Lays chips into a too small of space and before I could stop him, half the chips were crushed. He laid eggs on their side, milk on their side and I asked him not to do that and he frowned and walked away leaving my eggs I bagged. I wish I took pictures. I’m also got upset because the checker saw all this and just let him go on when I was asking him to stop. A five year old could have done better. I am a senior, food is expensive and if I can’t trust your staff to respect that, I’m done with the Mountain View store. My daughter was also with me. I’m just horrified at the service, the rudeness and being treated like I was. I didn’t yell, I wasn’t mean I really tried to redirect and told the checker that he needs to be retrained.

Is anyone else having their bread smashed and eggs broken when using the pickup service? It's happened to me twice now, both the last two times I used it at this store.

The lady in self check out is clueless and not helpful. The ice cream should be $3 but the discount didn’t show up, we show her the app and she said you just have to wait 10min. So she want us to wait there holding up the line. So we just ask her to remove the item

I was staying in a hotel nearby, and this store was a real saver. You can get there everything you need, including bottled water, medicine, and fruits.

I get my medications here! But don't buy a go2bank card and not get your change back. It's not company policy for them to fix the problem.
