Russ Restaurants - The Homemade Goodness People for over 87 years! J. Russel Bouws began operating his first restaurant in 1934 at the age of 21 in Holland, Michigan. Over the years he grew his restaurant, including franchises owned by Howard De Haan in the Kent County area between the 1960’s and 2000’s. Over time, Russ’ brother Gord and Russ’ sons John and Bryan joined him along the way. The family grew the business into 12 locations. The standards have always been to keep the cost low for the customer and to deliver a homemade meal. Currently, Bryan’s family is operating the 12 locations along with their wonderful staff!
