Rooster's Wood-fired Kitchen - Uptown

Stopped in before a Charlotte Hornets game, food was absolutely AMAZING!! great service from Joe! Braised short ribs were to die for!!

It was chilly downstairs but the food was good and the service was great :)

Ricky was absolutely amazing. He treated us so well. Atmosphere was fantastic to the point where I will most definitely be coming back if I find myself in town again. Top 3 restaurant I have had on this trip.

Came here to eat after driving out of town from WV to catch a hornets game! I can say it was an incredible experience not only in terms of food (the bbq chicken) but also in terms of service. Our waiter Ricky was absolutely great. Friendly, efficient and enjoyable! Thank you for a great night!

Where do I start. We eat in uptown 3 times a month and like to try new restaurants. Roosters is not the one. Please don’t waste your time or funds. The scallops were cold and chewy. The Chicken was cold and flavorless. The Brussels sprouts were bland. Rooster you hurrt my feelings with a price tag of 180$ to boot .

Great atmosphere, staff and amazing food! Sea scallops, gnocchi, Brussel sprouts, grits and pecan pie cheesecake were all 10/10!!! Nate was hands down the best waiter! So helpful and attentive! Thanks Nate!!

This restaurant used to be great. I'm not sure if they switched owners but it has gone down the hill from food to service. The last two times we visited the chicken was not fresh and cold. Very disappointed!!

I went with a party of 6 yesterday and we ALL were highly disappointed. None of us finished our plates. The food was Mediocre and over priced. We are foodies. We Love to try new places and was really excited to try this spot. Our waiter told us the sides were sharables. Typically that would mean at least 4 people could share. That is not the case with the sharables here, only 2 people can share. When we were asked how we liked it we expressed how unhappy we’re were and we were just told sorry and that was it. We left and went straight to McDonalds because we were still hungry. We will not be coming back unfortunately. The best thing about the entire experience was we didn’t have to pay for parking.
