Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

Service: there was a line when we first came in. The line went pretty quickly and the person who assisted us was pretty patient in answering all of our questions too. Ambiance: small, not too loud, and cold. The room smelled a bit strongly like cleaning solutions but better than terrible smell. Food: the custard is soft, almost whipped cream-like. Not too sweet. The italian ice was also pretty good. The concrete ended up too sweet for me, I’ll get gelati next time.

Cute gelato shop .. love the choices .. Dragon Fruit a plus … nice sitting area .. only one street over from Laurel Ave .. pretending we’re getting GELATO in Milan 😂

frozen custard is yummy, and honey walnut topping is to die for. :) Update: honey walnut topping is gone... had to suffer through hot fudge with sprinkles <oh the horrors> As yummy and creamy as ever. We'll be back!

Terrible. We went there to get some custard. I think it had been churning in the machine too long. Almost had the consistency of butter. Very few options for toppings. The ones they were out of were scratched off in sharpie. The guy working behind the counter was watching soccer on the TV the whole time and wasn't paying any attention to anything else.

Creamiest ice cream ever!

Can never go wrong with a Italian ice form Rita's only thing Is I wish they had black cherry flavor

This is where my kids demand above all other ice cream shops—and is the closest you can get to Hawaiian shave ice, when there is no Hawaiian shave ice around…. this is NOT like chipped ice, but is a “smoothed ice” with real fruit flavors—sorta like crunchy Hawaiian shave ice. Our GoTo is the Gelati—creamy and thick vanilla custard underneath a mound of cherry ice. Absolutely outstanding dessert in a cup—addictive. I’ve been ordering a half-gallon for delivery from the shoo directly. If you order from them directly, it saves this locally owned shop (Miles) some dough….

My first time here. Staff was friendly and explained the items on the menu. I told them what I wanted, they made a recommendation and I was super pleased with my order!!!!

Just ok. The vanilla custard was super thick with an artificial flavor aftertaste and no real dairy flavor. The Mango Italian ice had the consistency of a very thick slushy with tiny ice crystals, and the flavor was like jello. The service was meh.
