I really hate to give such a low review. If it wasn’t for my love of arcades and the vibe of a childhood long past, I’d rated it even lower. I love the old games and the nostalgia. It’s actually set up nicely and has a great vibe. The complaints come with the maintenance here. Multiple games not working. (Taking money, controls not functioning properly, or machines just off completely). I feel like this place has all of the potential to be something great. However, these old machines have to be maintained better and it wouldn’t hurt to add a few newer games in the mix. In comparison with other arcade like venues in Indiana and Louisville, Recbar 812 is behind. The nostalgia is definitely there but what’s the point if the purpose of the establishment isn’t functional as it should be. The food is decent but not the best. The menu needs a revamp and the games repaired. Other than that the potential is there. This is a place 70s, 80s, and maybe even some 90s babies can appreciate. The young kids not so much and that’s a reason to add a few modern games in. With the other competitors around this place falls short for a place to take your children.

Food was epic, we got frosted flakes chicken with tots, our buddies got a great waffle ice cream fruity pebbles dessert. It's loud, but it's also got a very arcade vibe, so know that going in. Family friendly.

Tried the frosted flake tenders, mini burgers and cheeseburger totchos. Everything was delicious. Restaurant was very busy but service was still very fast. My only complaint is that several of the games weren't working but other than that we had a great time!

Food is good bar food. Atmosphere was very loud, great place to take your kids and have a drink. They charged me a $1 for a bourbon neat (no ice)...

One of the most fun places I've visited in southern Indiana. Great food and service.

EDIT 12/3/23: We were asked to come back today to give them another try, which I greatly appreciate... unfortunately our orders were wrong and they were cooked by the manager! I did not recieve the mac and cheese that was supposed to be substituted for tots with my meal and our burgers were raw in the middle. As much as they tried to make up for the experience, this place has just gone downhill from what it once was. Service was stellar! Food was meh. 11/19/23: We come here a lot and unfortunately today will probably be our last visit. The last three times we have come here the service and food has been very disappointing. We came with friends last night and had a terrible experience, couldn't get refills on drinks or the syrup for my husband's meal. We hoped it was a fluke and brought our kids back today. My fish was so burnt it stank when it was set in front of me. I was told it would be comped and it was not, I was charged for a meal I did not eat. I asked for queso to go and got beer cheese. Spent well over $250 in a 24 hour period. Seems like the biggest problem is the employees too concerned about their phones instead of their customers, all i saw was people standing around on their phones at the bar and waitress station.
