This has been my "Go to" just about every Sunday morning for the past 6 years. Great donuts. Consistent. My kids are excited for Ray's Donuts every time. They make a certain amount and then sell out. Anyone leaving a 1 star review has such high standards that they need a 24-hour donut place. This is mom and pops. They start at 2am and open at 530am. They sell until they are gone. No meat...hence the name..."Ray's DONUTS". Super friendly. Keep it up ladies! We love your donuts!
6AM Came in excited for some donuts and sausage rolls... didn't notice any sausage rolls, so I asked, and what I'm assuming was the owner, somewhat rudely, said, "we don't have anything meat. "... as if I annoyed her for asking such a stupid question?? So that was awkward. Are kolaches not a thing up in Missouri? Even so, the response was still off. Anytime I've gone into a donut shop at 6 AM, it's a pretty busy place, with people prepping, cooking, and stocking donuts... this place was dead. It looked like they were done baking. If they had even baked anything at all this morning, idk, and it was a very cold and somewhat dark atmosphere. I ordered a mixture of glazed and chocolate glazed donut holes... the chocolate was actually a chocolate battered hole with normal glaze... not what I'm used to. (Normal hole with a chocolate glazed on top), and it wasn't as good either... the chocolate flavor was lacking. Old fashioned buttermilk donuts are my favorite... so I ordered two of those that they had labeled "old-fashioned sour cream." These were incredibly heavy, dense, HARD, stale, and honestly, just not even sweet. The outside was like a rock, and the inside was so stale and crumbly that I couldn't even finish it. Absolutely not fresh, and I'd bet they weren't even made in the past couple of days. Very disappointing all around. I won't be back. Donuts should be fresh. Vegetarian options: No meat
Great little donut shop. With friendly people, They even have treats for your dog. I hope there free, otherwise I stole them. Huge cinnamon donuts and apple fritters
