I added soft boiled eggs to my 2 bowels of ramen. I didn't get the eggs. I called and left a message the same night. I'm still waiting for them to call me back.
I was in the area for work, and with the weather getting cooler, a warm bowl of ramen sounded perfect. I'd heard a mix of opinions about this place, so I went in with low expectations, just to see for myself.
I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with extra pork slices. It was not as bad. The flavor wasn’t life-changing, but it was satisfying, especially for a quick meal. If you’re craving ramen and want something without the long wait, this place does the trick.
NO Teriyaki chicken NO Business from me. Don’t change something that’s not broke. Ramen Hood will ultimately lose more business. Now there offering only fried chicken, just because they want to save money on the backend. Ultimately, in the end they will go out of business. Hopefully they change back soon before its to late for Ramen Hood.
The ramen was good. It would have been great if the broth was hotter in temperature. Service was non existent. Nobody checks on you during the meal. Actually nobody is even in sight! The dirty dishes stack up on top of the bin and nobody clears it away. This place could be busier but it’s like no one wants you there. There’s good food around every corner but what sets you apart IS customer service and how wanted you make the patron feel.
Great ramen. Music is too loud in dining room.
Whatever executive leader decided to swap teriyaki chicken for Fried chicken just tanked this restaurant. Horrible and it gets soggy after sitting the broth. Just made my last trip here and hate to see a good place bite the dust.
Been coming here for 2 years with my wife. Always got the tonkotsu broth with Teriyaki chicken. Unfortunately they got rid of the teriyaki chicken and changed to something else. The new chicken is low grade… greasy, chewy, stringy, inedible once it sits in broth.. super bad call on the part of ownership. Sad to say won’t ever be back as this was our favorite take out meal.
Delivery:
The Ramen at Ramen Hood is adequate… nothing to write home about, but decent.
The biggest issue is the meat… The pork they include is basically raw bacon. It's quite nasty - best to remove and toss it in the trash. Ramen restaurants that produce a higher quality / more authentic product use a thicker cut of pork (from a different part of the animal) so it's never slimy.
Hood also ignores requests to include hot chili oil and garlic oil when ordering via app or delivery, no matter how you go about making sure they are included on the original order.
They also don't pack the liquid portion of the order very carefully, despite using a ton of plastic. Seems like there's always something dripping by the time it gets to you.
All that said, it's an enjoyable bowl of Ramen if you doctor it up a little when it arrives, and I’ve certainly had worse.
Last note: the gyoza is hauntingly similar to what you get from a pack of frozen tossed in the microwave. Not worth the $8.
Honestly, 1x - I’m a fan. Bouncy noodles, tonkatsu broth was delicious, fast and excellent take home. Their take home is all separated which is key to delicious ramen. Yes, I’m Japanese and I’m critical, but Ramenhood is recommended.
The food is the star here. The service was good. Very simple easy order style with few options but the options given were awesome.
Would go back again if in the area.
Delicious ramen and gyoza. Been coming here for years and they are our favorite ramen joint.
We made our first visit to this restaurant last Friday. The food is definitely full of flavor, and you get a generous portion at a very reasonable price.
It was better as a leftover (we thickened it up with cornstarch, and it was even better).
We will be going back and getting it as take-out. A single serving from Ramen Hood is enough for two, especially if we thicken it at home.
I was in the area for a business meeting and when I finished a customer/friend suggested trying this place. Since the temperature outside was 110° outside my mind works odd at times and I thought okay let's go have some noodles and hot broth. Lol.
I guess several other people had the idea to have ramen noodles and broth also.
I ordered the noodles with teriyaki chicken Ginger and onions can't remember which one was pickled. Also got some cilantro. This broth head several layers of flavor. I highly suggest adding many extras in that broth. The teriyaki chicken was good too but I ate all that and scraped up all that broth. Since I didn't want to get too hot I just blew on the spoon to cool it and it cool down pretty quick. Oh yeah and I definitely recommend the soft boiled egg that had some nice flavor to it.
My friend ordered an appetizer for us can't remember the name it was a dumpling it was very good.
When you walk in the door there's two tablets to order your meal. The atmosphere was average but it was okay The food was awesome.
Very yummy. They also played Lil Baby
I’m personally not adept at judging ramen, but the chicken teriyaki ramen was a satisfying meal.
Couldn’t be more disappointed for the 3rd time from ordering door dash as they always mess up at least one of my 3 bowls I always order. We literally grab food here every week. I just spent $86 and our bowls came with little to no veggies and my toppings were missing. Very annoying
Great tasting food and good portions. Please don't shrink the protein amount or it won't be worth the price.. $15/bowl
is 8:43 pm and doors locked but staff inside and schedule said closes at 9 pm. Frustrating
