Qurashi Indian Restaurant

Our first visit, (6 of us), we all had different meals and all enjoyed the food, it was a birthday celebration and they were very good. It was nice that we could all hear each other speaking not like some places, they don't do alcohol, that wasn't a problem for us. We will certainly go again.

Utterly confused by the ratings of this place. Should’ve seen the warning signs when the chap on the phone told me to hurry up (???) when I was trying to pay him. The meat in the mixed starter was simply appalling. So bland and so sad. The chicken was just ok. The curry just tasted so underwhelming and basic, almost supermarket quality. The meat in the curry tasted like it was just pan fried and chucked in. The pilau rice is actually just boiled rice. Took over 90 minutes to arrive. Bad bad, simply so bad. (And @ the restaurant: yes, I have been to India. 4 times).

Consistently good, excellent good, always a warm welcome. Vegetarian options: Great veggie options. Kid-friendliness: Staff did an impromptu magic show for the kids, they have clearer been practicing and want to make young guests feel special. Very well received by out 10 and 7 year old.

We walked in and there was only 1 couple in (sat in the window) they sat us behind them (in the window) obviously trying to make the place look busy! They came and literally threw the cutlery onto the table and then came back and threw a serviette at my partners plate then one at mine! The waiter came over and abruptly said "what do you want to drink?" we said "do you seve alcohol" he said "no" and walked away - at this point we left - can't comment on the food coz we left but we have never ever had cutlery and napkins thrown at us! There's so many excellent restaurants out there who's staff treat you as you should be treated - this place doesn't even deserve 1* We, definitely won't be going back!

Lovely food, great atmosphere. Service is always great and made a special fuss of a birthday in the party. Love it here!
