I made a promise and I'm here to deliver just as the purveyors of Pulp do day in and day out. I'm not one who takes time to write a review...but the coffee and service BLEW ME AWAY. James and Lisa took care of us as if we were family, treating us to a tasting experience with a couple of rare pour overs (Panamanian and Colombian Geishas). I personally am a neophyte when it comes to coffee so I appreciated the extra attention. Not only did they educate us on the coffee, the beans, the process, but even provided tastings of "palate cleansers" (ie sweet treats) procured from other local establishments. I felt as if I was a VIP guest in their shop and treated like a friend. I'm already recommending to all my coffee drinking friends to visit Pulp whenever they visit San Antonio. Hopefully I'll see more Spurs and Wemby games in the future and make it a ritual to visit Pulp the next morning! PS. We returned an hour later with the rest of the group to get to-go drinks for the stroll around downtown SA.
First time here and it was awesome! The owners are amazing people. They are welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable in the coffee and tea space. I got an iced latte and it was perfect. Nice hidden gem! We will be back!
Not a coffee drinker but went since my wife likes coffee. Place was clean and had a good vibe. They made me a sweet tea to my liking.
Found Pulp Coffee Roaster at an event and had the best coffee of my life. Service was excellent! I highly recommend this place
Excellent coffee and James is very awesome
I had no idea a cold brew could taste this good! Ethiopian Natural roasted to perfection - fruity and clean. Phenomenal.
Coffee was amazing. Its natural sweetness was perfectly bringing up with zero artificial flavors. We fhad a great time there since the staffs were so hospitable! Pulp is definitely the reason making me visit San Antonio again.
PULP is Definitely a third-wave shop focusing on specialty coffee profiles, lighter roasts and lab-tested brewing methods that bring out better flavor profiles and unique notes in their beans. While I was in, the barista offered me a sample shot of an espresso blend he was working on, and then made me a custom drink that wasn't on the menu, based on our conversation about the brew method and flavors. I would highly recommend this low-key, high-quality roaster to anyone passing through the area.
Best coffee/espresso I’ve had in San Antonio. Super friendly staff that gave us samples to test and talk all things coffee and beans. 10/10 recommend if you’re a coffee snob like me.
