Puerto Riquísimo

BIG disappointment after making a trip here to find the restaurant closed on a Monday at noon because of president's day. People still eat every day. UPDATE #2: came again on a week day at 12:30pm and AGAIN they are closed when they are supposed to open at 11am UPDATE #3: came for the last time 1pm and it is closed. I wish there were less than 1 star for the review

The best alcapurria and arroz con gandules I've had in Miami. Actually better than most in PR. The abichuelas "red beans" had too much orégano, unfortunate because they would have been amazing were it not for the overpowering orégano taste. Por chunky a bit salty but ok. If those 2 things were addressed id give the food 5 stars. Place was pretty empty and food still took a bit long which concerns me because I can imagine if they're busy. I took the time to write all of this with the hopes that they read it because we need a place like this in the area and They are close to being a fantastic place to eat

Food and service are excellent.. highly recommended. We'll be back....

The pastel de pizza was cold inside…the pincho de carne(pork) was so full of fat it was gross you don’t notice until it’s in your mouth because they smother it in bbq sauce,the mofongo balls were beyond greasy… it’s a shame,this place used to be really yummy for a quick bite.
