Puccini's Deli

I really like this spot. Super friendly staff with a great range of products. I’ve purchased items ranging from anchovies, to pepperoni, to spices from around the world, to a fresh panini and have thoroughly enjoyed it all. To top it off I really like the coffee and the service is excellent. I’ve been several times now and have been telling friends about the place. It’s absolutely worth checking out.

I love this place, everything is good! But why you close so early!!!!!! It’s almost impossible for me to reach the place before it’s closed

TLDR; tasty deli food, but I wouldn't recommend due to the off-putting service. I was looking to make a sandwich at home so I had asked for ~100g of sliced meat and same for some cheese. I was told by the counterperson that 100g of the ham would not be enough for a couple of people. I responded that I didn't need more than the 100g. When I said I wanted ~100g of cheese, the counterperson responded with she would give me 10 slices. Since I ordered other deli items at the time I didn't question the checkout price when paying. But when I got home I could see I was given over 2x the expected amount. So instead of paying ~$8 for this lunch I paid just under $20 for extra food I didn't need. Maybe being this pushy works for some people, but I'd rather support a business who provides more honest service, where they actually listen to their customers.

The food is excellent, especially the coffee and sandwiches. You can tell they are passionate about food, much better than fast food restaurants. The service is also very friendly.

I had an extremely uncomfortable experience today. I voiced my concerns to the manager and unfortunately, I did not feel heard. I am disappointed and I wish it had not come to this. But to have my concerns dismissed is hurtful and upsetting. Don’t expect anyone there to treat you with respect (customers or staff). A man barged in front of me even though I told him not to and was cold and condescending when I asked him to wait his turn. The manager was not much help and allowed him to do so which I thought was rude. I informed the manager I am a woman with neurodivergence and go through enough discrimination, and do not need her or the customer to treat me with such disrespect. However, she did not care and continues to placate the situation. The manager offered me a free coffee or a cookie. I told her it is not going to erase the pain and hurt she caused me. Later after I wrote this review, the manager hunted me down on social media and asked me to take down this review. But I don’t feel a need to do so. This was my experience yesterday and I feel a have a right to my opinion. I would not recommend Puccini’s. The staff are rude and do not care about their customers. Don’t expect them to treat you with respect, or for customers to wait their turn in line. Customers who come here think it’s their right to barge in line and it is so infuriating!!
