On the day of the eclipse, 8Apr2024, I proposed to my Girlfriend during the eclipse at Sulphur Springs and on our way back to Austin we wanted to celebrate at a classy restaurant. Mission accomplished! We couldn’t be happier with Prime 102. I am a steak man and tried the 45 day dry aged ribeye medium rare. Was cooked to perfection. My lady had the double cut pork chop and it was delicious and tender. The attention to detail at this location is outstanding. The starter bread is amazing, croissant like. We enjoyed the pork belly and the jumbo lump crab cake compares to top Baltimore entrees. We ended the evening with the butter cake topped with ice cream and was the perfect end to our meal. Our server, Matt, helped make our evening a night we will always remember. It was a proper celebration. Thank you Matt and Prime 102! I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for celebratory occasions.

Tyler is a growing city and definitely needs more fine dining restaurants. They treated me with amazing care and the butter cake was superior. The atmosphere is top tier dark and romantic setting. Great and strong drinks! Must visit.

I really don’t understand why the reviews of this place look so good but I was so disappointed. We ordered 45 day dry aged steak and it was expensive. Then it tasted like a rotten meat and i only took several bites. I was sick for the whole night after eating that. I gave the leftovers to my dog and even he had diarrhea . It was the worst steak I ever had and this meal cost $290 for two. The service was very slow on Thursday. I was very disappointed. The crab cake was good, but it only comes in one small crab cake for 2 person.

This is the Alpha and the Omega of steakhouses. You need go no further. My wife and I visited this wonderful establishment that is located in the beautifully restored historic People's Petroleum Building. As we walked up the marble stairs we could not help but admire the 30's architecture. We were sat down and immediately greeted by Mrs Barnhart, one of the wonderful co-owners. We were both amazed by how sophisticated this restaurant feels, yet the staff still provides all the hospitality you expect from true Texans. The food is other worldly! I have been to many steakhouses throughout this nation and this is truly the best one I have ever experienced. You have spoiled us and now I compare every other steakhouse to Prime 102. The bread they bring to the table is the the best I have ever had at any restaurant. The filet was 'melt in your mouth' incredible. The flavor and texture was amazing. The asparagus was perfectly cooked with just enough crunch, but not too much. And finally, the bread pudding is just WOW! If you are in Tyler or plan on visiting, this is a must visit. You will be glad you did. Thank you to the Barnhart's and our wait staff for such a great experience. And last, but definitely not least, thank you to the chef for such a great culinary experience. We will be back soon!

This place is pretty cool. I guess it was actually part of the bank back in the day. Lots of marble. Despite that, the noise level was not bad. Everything was excellent. I had Sea Bass and Brussel sprouts. But it is very expensive!! I also hoped the portions would be a bit larger. Also, please don't allow people to wear hats in the restaurant!! Parking is at a premium, so be prepared to use valet parking.
