Extremely slow employees....
Visited last Saturday night, right at closing. The level of service was excellent. The young lady took the time to reeducate us on the proper juices based on our needs. At a time when service is failing and it seems companies do not care it was great to find the total opposite last Saturday.
I visited Pressed in Georgetown, MD on 07/30/2024 around 2 PM and had an extremely disappointing experience. Upon arrival, my daughter and I struggled with the door, and despite staff and customers inside watching us, no one offered to help.
When we finally got in, the staff didn't greet us or apologize for the door issue, which I later found out has been a longstanding problem according to Google reviews.
After taking a few minutes to decide on our order, we were informed that only juices were available. This could have been communicated earlier or indicated with a sign.
When I mentioned the door issue, the staff was dismissive and rude, pretending not to understand. Overall, the staff's attitude was ignorant and unhelpful, making for an unpleasant visit.
I wouldn't recommend this place due to the lack of customer service and ongoing issues.
My boyfriend and I were running errands yesterday, and I was excited to try a pressed freeze for the first time. When we arrived at the store close to 1:00pm, we struggled to open the door and stood outside for a moment because the store looked closed. Another customer finally managed to get it open. Once inside, six of us stood waiting for almost ten minutes without any assistance. Eventually, an employee emerged from the back, showing no apology or surprise at the number of people waiting.
An Uber driver ahead of us showed his order, but the employee seemed confused, looked around, and finally found a ticket on the counter. He informed the driver that the order couldn't be fulfilled for at least another 45 minutes. As we tried to order, the employee announced that the only thing he could sell us was juice because nothing else was working. One customer, although visibly frustrated, kindly grabbed a juice, paid, and asked if the employee was the only person working that day before leaving.
Having both worked in the exact same industry (not just food but specifically smoothies, acai bowls, and frozen yogurt), my boyfriend and I were appalled. The loss of revenue due to one careless employee was staggering. This experience really tainted our perception of the store. Despite living nearby and wanting to try a pressed freeze, we now have serious doubts about returning to this location. It's such a shame because the potential for a good experience was there.
Waited 15 min to receive my order. New hire seemed overwhelmed. Atmosphere inside underwhelming. Product still tasty.
Surprised by how good their drinks are honestly my favorite in the smoothie drink category, but the cashiers are a bit simple minded
I stumbled upon Pressed Juicery in search of a healthy alternative, and I am beyond grateful to have met Ava! Formerly from an ice cream store, Ava's transition to Pressed Juice has been nothing short of remarkable. From the moment I walked in, her warm smile and genuine enthusiasm made me feel welcomed.
Ava's knowledge and passion for health and wellness are truly inspiring. She convinced me to embark on a juice cleanse journey, and it has been life-changing! Not only have I shed some pounds, but I feel rejuvenated and energized like never before.
What sets Ava apart is her exceptional customer service. She goes above and beyond to ensure each visit is memorable. Her recommendations for juices and shakes are spot on, always tailored to my preferences. And let's not forget the kindness she showed when I was under the weather – a complimentary immunity shot that made all the difference!
I find myself returning to Pressed Juicery every other day, eagerly anticipating Ava's friendly face and expert advice. She's not just an employee; she's a wellness advocate who genuinely cares about her customers' well-being.
Thank you, Ava, for your unwavering dedication and exceptional service. You're truly a gem at Pressed Juicery, and I can't wait to continue this journey with you by my side!
Walked to the front counter to order and nobody acknowledged me for 5min. Someone else walked in and they took their order before me. I waited for a couple more minutes and walked out.
unbelievably poor service. I struggled to open the door and the cashier person watched me / knowingly ignored me as I struggled for a straight minute, thought I asked for help. Overall extremely rude and nonchalant. I love their products but this experience made me not wanna go back
Never, in my entire life I have experienced such rude service. I was shocked how the staff refused to answer questions and pointed at the board and said “read “
Only writing this because I’m a 7 year fan of pressed Juicery and really want to see this place succeed because I’m completely addicted.
Okay so not sure what is going on with the hiring process here but…only 2 of the 10 employees I’ve encountered while going here are even remotely competent. Like one time it got so bad that the guy was gonna have me buy a sweet cream freeze ($7) with an acai bowl with no acai, just bananas ($10) just because he refused to put sweet cream + bananas in a bowl (freeze or acai size) because he said “acai bowls are just for acai freeze” and “we can’t put bananas on the small size”. So essentially he was gonna hand me an large empty bowl with cut up bananas ($10) and freeze (just sweet cream, no toppings, $7) for a grand total of $17 for 2 ingredients. Like I thought I was having a stroke when he finally agreed to that.
That’s fine, I get having to perform for your managers, but I waited for 5 minutes in an empty shop that night just waiting for someone to appear, and that’s SO common. Like you better accept that no one is going to be there when you walk in 😂 so I’m not sure what’s worse, having your customers enter an empty shop for minutes, or putting sweet cream and banana together.
But it’s not even just as bad as that, like literally every time I go there, there is something wrong. They are out of vanilla 60% of the time, and 20% of the time they do have vanilla, it has gone sour. And it is just generally infuriating to interact with the people that work here. But there are like 2 employees that are just so cool.
Can’t stop going here because I’m addicted to this form of gambling (it is a gamble because you never know if they are even going to be there to serve you, if they will have the stuff you want, if they will be able to give you sweet cream + bananas, etc).
Great service- really appreciated the way I was treated with my two little ones being kids and indecisive, they were patient and gave a great service. I wish there was one close to where we live because the soft serve has clean ingredients and is delicious.
I went in on my birthday not knowing what to order and the lady helping me was so kind and helpful giving me stellar recommendations for that day. She added so much topping, so much soft serve to my bowl and made it look so pretty (sooo worth the money + healthy option). Then, as my friend and I ordered, she said both of our orders were on the house for the special occasion and it made my day. This is just a great establishment with AMAZING acaii/ icecream/ soft serve that doesn’t hurt my stomach as it doesn’t contain lactose! 11/10 would recommend, and I will go again when I’m in town.
This place is great. I have been coming here for almost two years and I gotta be honest, the new manager really makes his guests feel welcomed. I was having a pretty low day and what better way to get some vegan ice cream. He was very welcoming and asked about my day which was so nice. Kinda unloaded and it felt good have someone listen. He is very charismatic and has a great smile. My daughter was asking about his arm tattoos and asked to draw on them. He grabbed a marker haha. Overall great experience!!!
As I was standing around eating my ice cream, I noticed he was very punctual with everyone that came in, friendly and funny. Happy guest I am ;) I will be back.
Freeze is the best healthier frozen yogurt alternative in the game. Chocolate flavor is amazing! No stomach pains & you’re left satisfied while feeling good after eating it. My favorite spot ever & such a great addition to the Georgetown area.
We really enjoyed this place. We had the plant based chocolate ice cream. It was really good. Prices were reasonable. Service was great. I would definitely recommend this place. UPDATE: We went today and they were closed during normal hours. We went back an hour later and still closed. For that reason, I am updating to 3 stars.
Really yummy plant based frozen treat! The man who helped us at the counter was very nice
