PoundCake Bakery

The pound cake is incredible!! Best ever. Between the lemon blueberry & Vanilla pound cake or the coffee cake… not sure I can say a favorite!! Anywhere we’ve brought it…. People eat it up!! A must try.

Disappointed in this new bakery in DG I’ve been waiting to try. Bought a pound cake for Easter. It tasted like a heavy thick bread with no flavor ( got the cinnamon swirl). Employee not welcoming or talkative. Was like he got stuck working there for the day. Might give it another try and see how the pies taste.

I hate to give anyone just one star so this place gets two. I have been here three times - really wanted to like it, since pound cake is a favorite. The cakes taste old, not even bakery quality, and for the price they should be fantastic! The inventory is low & the inside of the store is sparce & uninviting - looks more like a temporary pop up or "seconds" store.

Not much here. Small selection, no place to sit & enjoy a coffee. Coffee is terrible. Stark interior left me wondering if this place is just temporary. I'm not seeing what 2 other reviewers were raving about. I was really hoping for a classic bakery to be added to the downtown DG business sector. Can't recommend PoundCake Bakery

I purchased a pumpkin and classic pound cake. DELICIOUS!!!!!!

Delicious! A gem in Downtown Downers Grove. So good.
