Our motto is to eat good food, drink good beer, and do good things. Our calling is to do our best to celebrate life through good food and building relationships. And Portal will always be a place that reflects the pride and character of our Oakland community, welcoming every guest as part of our extended circle of friends. By design, there’s nothing fancy about Portal. We’re just a neighborhood meeting spot that happens to serve a killer brunch, amazing burgers, and some of the best locally brewed beers around. (But we do have a trendy backyard patio that overlooks Lake Merritt, and we have been featured in the New York Times travel section, so there’s that.) We hope you will check us out soon!
