Delicious Poke Bowl and friendly staff.
On Wednesday, June 26, I came to Poki DC and Gongcha to try out their two choice poki bowls and bubble tea. Although the food tasted ok, I was very disappointed with the service especially with the elderly lady that was taking my order. I ordered a two choice poki bowl and only received 4 pieces of salmon and half a scoop of spicy tuna. The toppings she gave me was even worse the quantity was just so bad my bowl felt rushed. I spent $17 on this bowl are you kidding me?!?!. I also tried their brown sugar milk tea and waited 20 minutes for my drink to be made. The young lady with glasses was inattentive and on her phone and I had to ask her if my order was ready yet several times. The manager of this place needs to teach their staffs how to treat customers correctly or else I will not be coming back to this location.
Poki DC was very good before the exodus of office workers from downtown and now is just good - as usual when there's more volume and throughput with sushi, it's fresher when it's busier.
The food is still good now, just not as fresh as when it was packed. Good toppings, wish the jalapeños and red onion were chopped a bit smaller like their local competitor (whose sauces aren't as good, so we pick Poki DC).
Ordered this as a delivery. Loved everything.
Soba Noodles=AMAZING
Takoyaki=Smokey and AMAZING
Chicken Karaage Bowl=PERFECT
Thank you for the wonderful meal.
The food tasted great, but the customer's service was atrocious. They delivered my food, but forgot my sauce and my silverware. When I called them to inform them about the issue. They were rude , said There's nothing we can do and hung the phone up on me.
Good poke - good variety of toppings and crispies, and the raw fish is very fresh. The Unagi was pretty decent too.
