The restaurant features a clean and inviting atmosphere, complemented by friendly staff—definitely deserving of a five-star rating in that regard.
I ordered the Iconic Burger and was disappointed to discover that my bag was soaked through after walking just two blocks back to the office. While the burger was flavorful, the condition made it rather unappetizing; I had to slop the mush onto to a plate and eat it with a fork.
This place is nasty dirty, mismanaged and they are serving lab based (not plant based) toxic frankenfood. A place like this could be a food destination if done right! The pic is a dirty table that pretty much represents the rest of the place
Lots of great options - you can do "beefy" burger or a black bean burger patty. The Big Zac is awesome! Friendly staff.
Amazing food but the slowest service you can fathom. Truly it boggles the mind how slow the place is. We’ve eaten here once a month since they opened and it gets worse all the time. Today was the worst offense – 40 minutes for a shake and a coffee is insane. It wasn’t even a rush. It was 2 pm.
This is by far my favorite vegan fast food in the area. Reminiscent of the flavors of the favorite FF restaurants o my youth. (I thought that line was hilarious) Anyways, the staff is helpful, the food is good, and it's always clean when I go.
I think the food has improved recently, I didn't think much of it maybe a year ago but I tried them recently and it's good enough I keep coming back. It's nice to get a fast food burger with a good vegan patty *and* fresh veggies.
I’m not a vegan but occasionally have a hankering for a plant based meal. The mood hit recently and I boogied down to Plant Power Fast Food for lunch. It was my first ever experience at a PPFD. It’s located in the Historic R Street district in downtown Sacramento. I enjoyed my meal and dining at this location. Pretty tasty vegan eats. Modern, clean interior. Friendly staff.
They are minimally staffed. Orders are placed using kiosks with card payment or placed online. The staff will call out orders for pickup at the counter. My order came out pretty quick but they weren’t that busy at the time.
In addition to having a 100% vegan menu, they don’t serve corn syrup, artificial flavors & coloring, antibiotics, or hormones. Yay! I ordered burger, fries, and soda. The patty is plant based and topped with chopped sweet onions, sour pickles, ketchup and mustard. I opted for no onions. The burger was tasty. The fries were super skinny cut. All the fountain drinks are made using organic sugar, no HFCS. It’s self serve. They had sooo many choices, it was hard to decide. I had the strawberry, dragon fruit iced tea.
This place has become my go-to for vegan food in Sac. The vegan food here is delicious! Most of them, however, won’t taste like the real thing: the chicken tenders, for example, don’t taste like the real chicken (but they’re still incredibly good! Especially the buffalo wings!). Moreover, some of their foods are a hit-and-miss: their burritos are not good, and their guacamole tastes horrible. Their burgers are typical of any restaurant. Their iconic fries, while good, are kinda soggy and could be done better. Their ice cream (called snow days) and milkshakes, however, are to die for! Would definitely recommend trying them out. My favorite entree was the Chicken & Waffle. Overall, really good place, would recommend (for both vegans and non-vegans), but can be improved!
Best cheat meals I've had in a crazy long time. Worth the drive
The food tasted like cardboard even the fries were disgusting. I was so disappointed because the reviews seemed so positive. I ordered the chicken & waffles meal. I did not like the chicken and waffles sandwich. There was no flavors. It had no flavor and tasted like a squishy, hard sponge. Don’t think I’ll come back. The staff were very rude and unfriendly. They were not personable and looked like they didn’t want to be there.
I tried the limited time vegan Ribby BBQ sandwich. I found the sandwich was not very hot and it had BBQ sauce all over the bun making my fingers very sticky, which doesn't clean off very well with just napkins. The onion rings and chocolate shake were really good though.
Excellent food that even non-vegetarians and non-vegans will enjoy. Everything the eaten here has been good. And they have really good fries and milkshakes too.
The food is great. You can't even tell that all the food is plant based. Definitely need more restaurants like this in the valley!!
Food is fine, and obviously, I value their plant based focus, but for what you get and the price, factoring in a living wage, it's just too pricey to justify.
