Picante Annapolis

Been here a couple of times and was wowed during every visit! Birria tacos are out of this world! Great service, incredible food, such a warm and inviting space--what isn't there to love? Everything here has such a care to it's delivery. You can tell everything is done in house. I love that they have chapulines!

Honestly my favorite Mexican restaurant in Maryland! The owner Fernando helped plan my sister's baby shower and he was so great in helping everything go smoothly. Not to mention their food is delicious. My husband is Mexican and their carne asada is legit! Tender with flavor and NOT chewy. Also their chicken tinga empanadas are the reason we drive 45 min from Baltimore to Picante. A must visit! The owner is usually at the bar and is so friendly! Gracias Fernando! Maggy Jesus y Sharell

Food was good. Service was horrible!!! It was a Monday evening and not busy. Had to ask two and three times for everything. Really disappointed

I have to give a huge shout out to Picante Annapolis! I partnered with Fernando and his wonderful staff to throw an amazing private 40th birthday party for my wife and over 40 guests at the restaurant! The venue, staff, food and atmosphere could not have been more perfect! When other venues (uncle julios, naty's, agave, vida taco bar) would not accommodate or even entertain the idea, Picante delivered in a big way. I cannot put into words how highly recommended Picante Annapolis is as a culinary venue but also a great group of people!

This past Tuesday (2/13/2024) we’re looking for some good tacos and drinks. We called around 1pm to find out if they had happy hour and the gentleman on the phone answered "yes" and provided us with the hours. When we arrived at the restaurant, there was only one waitress, so we had to wait for her to seat us while she attended to another couple. We asked her if there was happy hour since we couldn't see the menu when we sat down, but she claimed there was only taco specials. I saw on the restaurant's Facebook page and website that they had happy hour. I told her we should go, and she validated that they indeed have $7 margaritas during happy hour. I ordered a margarita and when she returned with it, it was the worst I've ever had—watery, old, and lacking any tequila at all. We told her we were taking our check and we would never return to this restaurant after our experience. The worst ever, and the worst margarita you've never had.

Good customer service and amazing food 10/10 must try

Since Picante opened last year it has been our go-to in Annapolis, where we'd struggled to find consistently delicious Mexican food in a warm setting. This week, the team took our appreciation for them to another level by allowing us to host a military retirement party for 25 guests, which went incredibly well. Fernando and his team were as accommodating as you could ask for, working with us to customize a menu and giving us half of the restaurant on a Friday evening of a holiday weekend. During the event, the serving team kept drinks full and food coming, and made everyone feel very welcome. Fernando was behind the bar the whole time to ensure everything stayed on track. Several of our guests mentioned that the event far exceeded their expectations, and that the food was some of the best Mexican food they'd ever had. Thank you to the whole Picante family for making our special evening a success!!!
