Food was really good. When order came incorrectly, the waiter corrected immediately. Great service, great food.
Great food and always got the best movie playing. Only thing is service and food come out slowly.
The shaken beef is incredible. Beef is tender and flavor is very rich. This is a must try. The vermicelli, smoothies, coffee, and rice dishes are good. The pho and spring rolls are OK. Pho is sometimes good, sometimes bad. Service is OK. Prices are very fair.
The restaurant is beautiful and clean. The server came over took our order and that was the last time we saw her. The cooks brought out the food and also disappeared. I wanted to ask for some cilantro and jalapeño to go with my dry vermicelli noodles, and had to get up myself and walk to the kitchen to ask. I waved at the waitress multiple times and she just looked at me and walked by me. The food was not good. They gave me a tiny dish of fish sauce for a big bowl of vermicelli. I wanted to ask for more fish sauce but again everyone disappeared. The food came out not even 10 minutes after we ordered. I could tell by the dried out cold chicken they precook everything in the morning and heat it up. We had to go upfront to pay because once they take your order you never see a server again. We will never come back here
I finally found my place for bố lúc lắc (shaken beef). Theirs tastes just like the kind I had from a restaurant on Bellaire Blvd when I was a kid which has since been gone with the wind. I don’t know what cut of beef they use and the fair price (I think it was $14) reflects that, which is ok with me. Many other places charge filet mignon price but serve it with less expensive cuts. Perfectly caramelized, succulent, and garlicky. I ordered it with the fried rice - apparently there’s no tomato in it. My partner’s spicy lemongrass tofu vermicelli (was delicious as well. It looked dry but it was flavorful and wasn’t desiccated or overcooked at all. We got a side of the pho broth so we could get an idea I’d say we were both underwhelmed, it tasted a bit too fatty. The taste was a bit bland but maybe intentional. By itself it was 7/10 compared to what I’m used to from restaurants on Bellaire. Since I grew up in Alief, I never sought out another Viet area outside of SW/W Houston but I was visiting family on this side and I’m so happy I had the chance to check this out! Our server was great too, he helped me pick between this dish and bun rieu.
