Pete's Candy Store

Established in 1999. A former candy store and bookie joint dating to the 1920's, Pete's Candy Store opened as a bar and music venue in 1999. Pete's was the first nightly live music venue in Williamsburg, hosting the likes of Norah Jones, Will Oldham, Clap YourHands Say Yeah, Joanna Newsome, Devandra Banhart, Loudon, Rufus and Martha Wainwright, Dirty Projectors, O'Death, Sufjan Stevens, Jon Spencer, Marc Ribot, Deertick, Microphones, Luke Temple, The Walkmen, Valerie June and many more. Pete's is known for it's comfortable, unpretentious vibe, beautiful interior, lush garden, great sandwiches and its excellent live music with no cover charge.
