Fantastic experience at Peggy Jean Richmond, the food and drinks were absolutely delicious and the staff were very attentive would highly recommend this place.
Adrian was so lovely, gracias
The sun was out, the riverside was buzzing and we had not booked.... On speaking to a boat repair man he suggested this place in preference to a high £££ one we were trying to find. We were not disappointed and i don't write reviews often! Adrian (Spanish) was the most engaging manner and attentive to food requests. The place was busy, he never came across rushed. They have a small kitchen offering tasty food and fab service. What better way to enjoy the sun waterside. Go support them... You wont be disappointed Dietary restrictions: Happy to share the whole ingredients list if ask
Beautiful Location, great service and food. We have tried to get a “walk in” seat here a few times and failed. I strongly recommend that if you want to visit, especially on weekends you make an advance booking. We had breakfast and sat outside. It was still a little cool and there was some rain but we managed to stay dry thanks to the umbrellas and warm thanks to the heaters above. I ordered the “Bondi” breakfast, good size portions and tasty. We also had the Salmon Royale and a kids Blueberry Pancakes. Service was very friendly and the view to the river very relaxing. Highly recommend. Kid-friendliness: They offered a good Kids menu. The portion and quality was very generous.
My recent experience at the cafe was far from enjoyable, primarily due to the unsatisfactory service we received. Despite having made a pre-booking with a guarantee of outdoor seating, we were inexplicably seated inside upon arrival. It was perplexing, especially when we observed that all the tables upstairs were empty. After a considerable wait of around 20 minutes, a waiter finally approached our table in a hurry, informing us that the kitchen would be closing in just two minutes. Feeling rushed, we hastily placed our orders, hoping to beat the imminent closure. While the food and cocktails were lovely , I was a bit surprised by the lack of presentation, particularly the unappealing arrangement of bacon bits near the beautifully decorated pancakes..Additionally, the service left much to be desired, with a clear need for improvement in attentiveness and hospitality. Regrettably, based on this experience, I would not recommend returning to the cafe solely due to the disappointing level of service provided.
Went for the first time on Sunday 7th April, there were four of us, we’d booked beforehand and sat on the upper deck in some sunshine and wind, rugs were provided if needed (which we didn’t). The food and dessert were delicious and different to anything I have had elsewhere. It was brilliant and excellent attentive service. And all for what we considered to be very reasonable prices. We will certainly be back and loved the location and 360 views around the beautiful historical boat.
