Pastries are just amazing. Service excellent 👍

Loved everything about this place - quintessential Italian bar. No tables to be seen, just a long glass case & counter that runs the entire length of this corner shop to display all of the yummy-looking pastries and to stand at with your espresso or cappuccino. We went twice since they have so many things to try. The wonderful women working were very friendly and helpful, despite how busy they were. Everything was also very inexpensive. My only complaint is that the two pastries I had - the plain cornetto and the raspberry cornetto - both left a little bit of something on the roof of my mouth. I don't remember this from the years past that I've visited Italy, but it seemed to happen in a few places we went to for pastries this time, so maybe they use something like palm oil rather than butter? Either way, my hot drink would typically wash away whatever it was and all-in-all, I enjoyed the experience. Would definitely recommend!

Wij zijn hier voor ontbijt geweest. Gewoon staand in de zaak.... Lekkere koffie en zoveel lekkers om uit te kiezen!!

It's worth crossing Venice to get Tonolo's excellent breakfast pastries! You can lean at the counter with a cappuccino and one of their krapfen (filled donuts), croissants or apple pastries and listen to staff and customers chatting in fast, flowing Italian. The cakes all look beautiful and the staff are friendly and welcoming even with a queue of 20 people jostling for attention. And it's all excellent value - 3 cappuccini and 4 pastries will set you back €10 or less. An absolute Venice highlight.

Una delle vere pasticcerie dei veneziani.... Per godersi un po' la colazione bisogna andare la mattina presto prima che arrivi la massa dei turisti. le tre stelle per l'ambiente è solo perché lo spazio è veramente poco i clienti ti si accalcano alle spalle mentre cerchi di gustarti la colazione. Ma ne vale la pena. I commessi dietro il bancone sono comunque gentili e rapidi nonostante la pressione.
