The star gets deducted here for the bread which is like tissue paper under the weight of greatness contained within. You will need you a bib guaranteed. And a fork. Crystal’s at every table as God intended. Plenty of Barq’s to wet your throat and compliment the warmth of your meal. James Brown and BBQ Creole Shrimp are my favorites but Alligator Sausage and Surf/Turf poboys are good too if you want a change. The meatball po I had once and is homemade / sauce etc, very authentic but wasn’t my favorite because plenty of other places do their meatball subs better. This is just one of stacks and stacks of great joints to get a great po and isn’t the best but none of them are, there are only favorites not bests. This is a wonderful Creole Italian melting pot here and a midtown neighborhood joint. This is authentic NOLA if that’s what you wanna do.

Delicious overstuffed poboys.

Truly excellent, totally changed my opinion on po-boys. On a prior trip I went to Mother's and got a roast beef po-boy and I didn't get the hype at all, it was not great. Then I went here today and WOW, totally get it. Well worth the trip out of the quarter.

Amazing food and very friendly atmospher!

Pretty decent. Find myself whistling for what ever reason while I'm leaving. The thing is, I'm not a whistler....

Roast beef poor boy was good, but needed more seasoning (mainly salt) so not so bland.

James Brown Poboy is best and my favorite! I love their bread pudding and sweet potato fries.

I was absolutely certain this place would not live up to the hype - it ABSOLUTELY DID! This place is 100% worth a visit. If you don't like this place it says more about you than Parkway tbh. Get the Creole BBQ Shrimp Po Boy, it's a winner.
