Pappy's Smokehouse

This place was recommended by one of the locals, and it did NOT disappoint. I had the burnt ends, and they were so DELICIOUS. I would highly recommend this place, and specifically….the burnt ends. I attempted to return the next day, but I called first and they were already sold out of the burnt ends. The atmosphere was very chill and casual. The customer service was excellent. There were a variety of flavorful BBQ sauce at each table. I sampled the ribs, and they were delicious also, but the burnt ends steal the show. 10/10. I highly recommend. I will definitely go back to Pappy’s the next time that I’m in the area.

One of the worst brisket I ever had. Barely any smoke flavor, not tender at all, taste like under cooked corned beef. Ribs are just dry and they wrap their ribs in three yards of plastic wraps, which caused the sauce and seasoning washed away by the moisture from the ribs when resting. The only thing good is their fire and ice pickles. Extremely disappointed in Pappy’s and St. Louis bbq.

This was absolutely the best BBQ sandwich I've had in the six years that I've lived in St. Louis. I moved from Dallas and East Texas so I know good BBQ! The best in town!

The food was delicious. Rib meat fell right off the bone, the brisket was tender and flavorful, the bbq beans and cole slaw were incredible as well. Eat here if you get the chance. It's well worth it!!!!

I was born and raised in Kansas City, and I’ve lived in STL for the last five years. The only place that stands toe-to-toe with the best of Kansas City BBQ in Saint Louis is Pappy’s. The ribs at Pappy’s were some of the best that I’ve ever get had in my life. Same goes for the pulled pork. I also tried the brisket and while it was good, it didn’t “wow” me like the pulled pork and ribs. You can’t go wrong with any of these three choices though. Pappy’s 100% lives up to its reputation, and from this point forward I will definitely be taking friends and family that visit me from out of town to Pappy’s.

Nothing special about the ambiance. What makes this place special is the food. If you love bbq you need to go here when in st.Louis. Kid-friendliness: Very casual which means very family friendly

Stopped in yesterday to try out the burnt ends, and I was not disappointed! Everything was delicious and the sides were on point as well. We were seated quickly after we gave our orders. The food was delivered shortly thereafter. Several times we were asked how we were doing and did we need anything. Waiters were friendly and nice, an all around great experience Parking: Right behind the place and close to the back entrance.
