Palate Club was realized by French innovator and entrepreneur Nicolás Mendiharat after his move to San Francisco, where he found many unsatisfactory trials of wine club subscriptions. He envisioned a service that truly offers diversity, personalization and wines thoughtfully catered to his palate. After much digging, he found that no one was using actual data science to build a personal palate portfolio for their clients, nor delivering wines according to this exact science. He teamed together a group of data scientists in Paris and professional sommeliers in San Francisco to put together an algorithm with over 100 traits that could be found in wine.
