Nice place on a water

I wanted to love this place so bad, it’s everything I love, water views, patio, but we had such a horrible experience - we seat ourselves, everything is good at first. Then time goes by, we ordered boudain balls, we waited at least 20 minutes for those to even touch the table, but no big deal. We eat them, they’re great. Next, we ordered our food the same time we ordered the boudain balls, we waited for I kid you not at least 45 min to an hour for our food. We’re usually patient, but our server would not check on us for a while at this point bc he knew we had been waiting & assuming he didn’t want any backlash from us so he sends over the manager, manager tells us that the fire in their kitchen is down & that it we would’ve ordered a steak instead it would’ve been to the table faster rather than the fried food. okay? well we didn’t want steak & how were we supposed to know, then proceeds to tell us “be patient” after we have very well been patient, we didn’t say anything to the server about it, just dealt with it. so we felt that was rude. Then we get our food finally & it tasted like it was just sitting there & half of the food wasn’t even warm. We ask for our receipts, just for 2 people to eat we paid almost $70. After waiting that long and having the manager come up to our table says a lot & we still payed that much money? We wanted to love this place but just ended up leaving very disappointed. We probably won’t be back.
