On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

Absolutely the worst place I have ever been to in my LIFE!! Will never step foot in any On The Boarder ever!! Was there for 2 hours only thing I ever received was my drinks. It's time for this business to close down. So much for earing out tonight now gotta got to Kroger and get something to cook atleast then I know I will receive my food.

Everytime I come to Memphis for work I eat here but today I was super disappointed. 45 min wait for to go order which would have been fine after learning they were short staff if my nachos were made right and the chips weren't old. If my dessert was not over cooked.

We used to go to On the Border all the time until the one in our area closed. So when we went to wolfcase and went to eat at the one over there, we were disappointed, the food was warm(not hot by any means), and the service was slow even though was not busy at all.

Ever since Christina became GM this place now reminds me of the golden days of Cantina Rocks. She is a quality person in general and is kind to me when I am a customer or even a dasher. The atmosphere later in the night is always perfect here. I enjoy the dimly lit booths, the music and the fresh fajitas with margaritas. You can get lost for hours in convo with someone and have a great date or just a chat with an old friend here. I can also bring my son here at times as the kid's menu is fairly priced. The patio is always fun when your in a social mood and the weather is good. I will come here for many years to come as long as Christina is in charge.

Fast service, best salsa in town, and friendly staff. Easy to find right off of interstate. Really enjoyed our meal here.

Had dinner with 4 friends on Friday March 22, 2024. The restaurant only had 2 sets of clean silverware. We were given 2 sets of plastic ware. Fajitas were not hot, did not receive the Pico or black beans. Restaurant was out of guacamole. Service was non-existent. The chips and salsa were actually very good, frozen margarita was okay but my advice, Do not go to this location. I have been to great "On the Border" restaurants. This one just needs to close.

Our server Kerslyn was not attentive. They weren't very busy at all. We waited about 10 mins before she got our drinks and then when we ordered our drinks, she came back and asked what they were again and then we waited another 10 before we got our drinks and then when we got our appetizer, we had to ask for napkins. then when we got our meal, we had to wait for silverware after having to ASK for it. she never checked in on us and asked how we were or how things tasted. Once she realized we were just sitting there, she asked if we needed anything and we told her we needed boxes and she brought us boxes and our check and then never. checked in on us again. Her server etiquette is very poor. I could never imagine treating my tables this way. Do better.
