Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

I usually don’t like doing any surveys or writing any reviews but my recent experience at Olive Garden on 171st in Edmonton was terrible. I moved from Toronto and we don’t have Olive Garden restaurant but I used to drive down to buffalo, US across the border to enjoy my food. I was happy that we found a chain in Edmonton. I recently took my fiancé to the restaurant at 170 st in Edmonton but our experience was terrible. The server name was Danica M. First of all she looked miserable while working there but that should not affect her customer service. She is a Filipino lady and not going any race, just trying my best to describe her. Anyways she set us on our table and asked if we are ready to order. I ordered a main entree and asked her to split in two plates as we always do coz my fiancé is not a big eater. We also asked for a house salad to which she responded that it will be extra charge for the salad. I was shocked why she said that. I mean we literally left our house and came to a restaurant to eat, ofcourse I am going to pay for everything I am ordering. My fiancé reacted what do you mean and Carmen said oh since you’re sharing only one salad is free so you have to pay if you want extra. What was even the point of that conversation. She was being very rude about it. Anyways, we asked the salad to be with no onions but I guess she forgot about that part while trying to emphasize on the extra cost of the salad to us. By the way this is the first time who told us about the salad and breadsticks are costly than the actual food. My fiancé don’t like onions so we asked her to replace the salad. Instead of apologizing or saying anything she took the salad and brought us another one without forks. So we asked her for forks. At this point I was very upset but I had to make sure my fiancé is feeling okay to still eat there. We stayed for the food and ordered the bill. Now ofcourse after this terrible experience I am not going to leave a tip and I didn’t.. I guess she noticed that on the receipt and didn’t even bother to say goodbye. I just want someone to remind her that if she don’t like her job please go and find another one. The only thing you missed out today was customer service. Please don’t let your day affect your customers. Don’t be that horrible person. I know you didn’t bother but I would like to say Thank you!! Went to the Olive Garden tonight with for my birthday. Was not disappointed. I started with the Strawberry Lemonchelo margarita. Very tasty. Of course we had the standard bread sticks and salad. Had 2 dipping sauces with the bread. 5 cheese and alfrado. Mixed together, is a game changer. I had the chicken Marsala linguine. The chicken had a beautifully creamy mushroom sauce. So good! Husband had the chicken shrimp carbonara, he was not disappointed. Unfortunately, we did not have room for dessert. Five stars to our server Rachel K. She was very patient and friendly and had a great sense of humour. Keep up the great work! We will definitely be back for more. Maybe we will have room for that Chocholate lasagna.

James was amazing! 10/10 service. 10/10 food!

Staff super friendly. Portions are big and quality of the pastas are good. There is an option for unlimited salad or soup.

Our waitress Jakie was amazing very friendly and had great timing the food was wonderful

They serve dirty dishes and the waiter kept coming every 5 minutes
