Off The Wheaten Track Deli

I was recommended off the wheaten track by a friend and was a little apprehensive as I'd been recommended several gluten free bakeries in the past but they've never really live up to expectations. But I was extremely presently surprised. I placed a reasonable order on store, a few sausage rolls, arcini balls, bakewell, apple pie, cookies and few other items. First thing I tried was the bakewell tart and it was mouth watering it honestly melted in my mouth and for the first time in 16 years I acctually enjoyed what I was eating, I have good gluten free food before but this was heavenly. The pastry was perfect, there was nothing which I didn't enjoy or wouldn't recommend. Definatly worth a trip or an order. Highly recommend especially the bakewell tart. Service was very good as well very friendly and polite. Unfortunately I live a long way a way but will be ordering online very soon Dietary restrictions: Everything is gluten free with an acctual taste amazing

Best tasting pastry I’ve possibly ever eaten. Not best GF, just best full stop. We had sausage rolls, pastries, cakes and drinks, every piece absolutely delicious. Super friendly relaxed setting, a real treasure. Dietary restrictions: Must-try for anyone needing or wanting to avoid gluten.

Absolutely brilliant little place to eat. Very friendly staff, nice chat with the owner about all things dietary needs, nice to eat somewhere with absolutely no fear of cross contamination. Quality food at a decent price. Will be going back to sample the pies. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free everything, and specifically wheat free for my allergy.

We had a delivery of gluten free goodies this evening . My Son has already asked when we can go and visit the deli. Thankyou so much. You have made a 11 year old boy, recently diagnosed with Coeliac very happy .

Postal order - P&P seemed a bit much, but then I got the goods and oh were they worth every penny! Wagon wheels are HUGE and taste fantastic, the pies are bursting with filling and the pastry is amazing. Will be ordering again, but will have to be a treat, as my waistline won't forgive me!

We ordered a range of sweet & savoury foods for delivery and were not disappointed. The pies tasted amazing with crumbly pastry and well seasoned generous fillings. The best gluten free meat pies we’ve ever had. The sweet potato pakoras are another winner with the perfect blend of warming spices. The amaretto biscuits were so good I ate all six to myself. A slice of lemon cake was forgotten on my order but I contacted them and they were quick to respond with an apology and a solution. Looking forward to trying it when it arrives in a few days. Highly recommend Off The Wheaten Track to anyone looking for a tasty bite to eat.
