Off The Waffle Downtown

Take it from a real Belgian, Liège waffles are not eaten with toppings. They're already overly sweet thanks to the pearl sugar .... waffles that call for toppings are the Brussels waffle. I really wish this trend would stop. Liège waffles are made to eat on their own while walking around town or with tea/coffee mid afternoon. Give it a try!

The service was commendable, with the manager going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Despite the minor inconvenience of requiring a bathroom key, which was a tad frustrating, the overall ambiance and attention to customer happiness stood out. The dish that graced our table was a visual and gastronomic pleasure: a perfectly crisped waffle lay beneath a generous layer of crisp bacon, ripe avocado slices, a beautifully fried egg, and a dusting of spices that suggested a thoughtful culinary touch. The experience was not just in the eating but also in the presentation, which was executed with care. While the need for a bathroom key might be a point of contention for some, it is a small blip in an otherwise stellar dining experience. The store was run by one person (not sure if it’s normal or short-staffed) but we still received great service and food.

The service was fast, the food was great (but could have come out warmer), and the coffee was good! Service was very good. 4.5 stars! Parking: I've never had a great amount of difficulty finding a parking place. There is usually a meter available close by.
