Oakwood Marina

Stayed here over the very wet Easter weekend in our camper van. Site unfortunately was very boggy but the owners had contacted us prior to see if we wanted to change dates but we thought we’d be ok in the van. On arrival we were met by owners son and given directions of where to park up and then met by the owner who gave us all the information we needed and was very helpful including lending us a lead for the electric hook up as ours wouldn’t reach! The site is situated on the marina and seeing the boats moored there was a lovely sight. There’s a tea room serving breakfast all day, baked potatoes, sandwiches, cakes that sort of thing and when that closes there is a pop up pizza bar and the pizzas were delicious. The Jolly Boatman is a converted boat being used as a bar which we really enjoyed too! The set up is well thought out with glamping tents and space for your own tents. There’s plenty of space for the dogs to run around too and had it not been so muddy ours would have had a great time but she enjoyed the attention she got in the bar and treats she received in the tea rooms. Had a great weekend and will definitely be back, hopefully, when the weather gets better!!!

Excellent Tea room, excellent service , excellent food, staff absolutely brilliant. Go a see for yourself and enjoy have a brew and enjoy the views

What a lovely place to just sit and have a coffee and look at the boats peace and quiet

Great food and dog friendly.

Great little place for a stop for a bite to eat and drink, staff were very efficient.
