Insanely overpriced and they charge you for every ingredient. The food wasn't horrible, but it was average and the cost was crazy. We had 5 people get 3 burgers, 2 Reuban sandwiches, and one drink each and it came out to $120, plus a 4.something% add on for using a card. The staff were all nice enough but the price is insanely high, we tried it on a whim since our normal was closed and won't be going back again.
I am a regular at Nite-Cap (my husband and I go about 2 times a week and I order the same thing every time). Today, my pizza (which I usually absolutely love) was raw. I asked the waitress to please have them cook it a little longer. As she was attempting to take it into the kitchen, Steve, the owner, stopped her and told her that he would not allow that. The waitress came back to my table with the bill and the pizza. I told her in its state, I’m not paying for it and I don’t want it, but I want to talk to Steve (the owner). At first, he refused, and sat at the end of the bar (boy, he sure respects his customers, doesn’t he?). He finally came to my table. I informed him that I am a regular and I order this exact pizza every single time I come and it’s never this raw. He replied with “I’ve been doing this for 43 years and if I make another one it’s going to be the exact same”. I told him that’s not the case because this is what I get every single time. He grabbed the pizza and said he will remake it, but he’s going to make it the same exact way, and he’s going to put it in a box. Well, it did not come in a box, and it was absolutely perfect and delicious (like how it usually is). I am absolutely disgusted in Steve’s (the owners) behavior. The fact that he wouldn’t come and talk to me at first was pretty cowardly. The pizza was underdone. No big deal, just cook it a little longer. I don’t understand his actions to a very regular customer. My family got me $220 in gift certificates. The fact that he owns the business makes me want to not go back. However, I love the waitresses. I’m not sure what I’m going do at this point, but I sure would love an apology from Steve (but I’m sure that’s not going to happen anytime soon). Steve, why would you treat a regular customer the way you treated me?
