Ninja MKE Japanese Steakhouse

Edit: This location has been closed for business since mid-December 2023. The review is from my visit during the spring of 2023. I stopped by a couple of weeks ago for a late lunch as I was curious about the food here. The place looks nice, but it was a bit quiet as the place just opened for the day. The server, Hardy, had the perfect balance of attentiveness with his service. Most of the food had the same issue. The gyoza, chicken katsu, the rice, shrimp tempura, and the California rolls were good when dipped in sauce or topped with Wasabi, but very plain otherwise. On the positive side, the shumai and strawberry lemonade tasted great. I just wish there was more shumai in the bento.

Great place for an entertaining meal downtown for lunch & dinner.

We usually love this restaurant! They are closed tonight for seemingly no apparent reason or warning. :'(
