Kevin Nguyen is the founder of Nguyen’s Kitchen & Sushi Bar. He was born in Hue, Vietnam and his family escaped in 1984 by a handmade wooden boat to Thailand then to the Philippines and finally arrived in San Diego, California in 1987. Kevin’s family has reached the land of freedom. As a young boy he learned Vietnamese cooking from his mother and continued to be well-trained sushi chef. His talented cooking skills and creative mind combines Vietnamese, Japanese and American ingredients, making it one of the most unique combinations ever offered to the public.
