Love this place. Kindly helpful people. Place nice and clean. Food is great!
Had an actual BUG in my food. It was alive and crawling all over my tacos. I don’t know how the hell you miss this. Actually disgusting.
Netillo's Takos was first founded under the name of Flakos Takos by a pair of siblings in 2016. Since its inception, it has grown to two brick-and-mortar locations - one in Elk Grove, and the other in Downtown Sacramento. Netillo's Takos is a Mexican restaurant with an emphasis on both authentic flavor and quality fast service. Their menu has a wide variety of offerings from tacos to burritos, to quesadillas, and even some less traditional items like their quesapizza. Their Elk Grove location is located at the corner of the Laguna 99 Plaza with plenty of parking, which made it a breeze to get to. I arrived on a sunny Sunday afternoon looking for a bite to eat. I decided to go with one of their birria tacos, and one of their fish tacos, an order of carne asada fries, all paired with their jamaica (hibiscus) drink. Between the two, I'd have to say the birria was definitely my favorite. The flavorful slow-cooked meat paired with melted cheese and the side of broth was absolutely to die for. I savored every bite of this taco, and this'll definitely be a go-to item for me in the future. Their fish taco provided a refreshing compliment to the rich birria taco, as the light fresh flavor of the fish paired perfectly with the cabbage and sauce on top. The carne asada fries were a little on the drier side; however, still proved flavorful and an enjoyable meal overall. I will mention that their tacos are definitely on the pricier side (at least in my opinion, but I've also been spoiled with the beautiful of low-priced tacos in southern California, so my benchmark may be a bit skewed). The jamaica drink was light, cool, slightly sweetened, and very refreshing for the warm Sunday afternoon. I've always been a fan of jamaica tea and drinks after my trips to Nicaragua, and the beverage offered by Netillo's Takos definitely took me back to those days. For those who have never tried hibiscus before, it has a tart, almost cranberry-like flavor - if that sounds like it'll be your cup of tea, then I'd highly recommend giving it a sip! If you're looking for some delicious authentic Mexican food in the Sacramento area (which in my opinion can be a challenge to find), Netillo's Takos is the restaurant for you!
I could honestly go without this place. The food is not so bad but the customer service could use a touch up.
Well, the food was not so great, the beans didn't taste right, the Tacos de Carnitas were ok, but the worst was the Carne asada fries, (picture included) the meat was obviously old, or reheated, the fries were hard I ended up feeling so bloated, I couldn't finish eating the food... we got served on a to go box, though they asked if it was for dine in or to go. The free tortilla chips and lemonade were the only things we enjoyed, definitely not going back!
Nest was super hard last night. Nasty
Netillo's Takos is a great Mexican Restaurant with flavorful foods, generous portions, excellent customer service, for a reasonable price. This was my first trip so I tried a couple of tacos and they were great, loaded with meat of my choice, and very flavorful. They have a full menu! Do yourself a favor and give Netillo's Takos a try, you will not be disappointed! If you find my review helpful, please click the thumbs-up icon! Thank you!
