Such a cool place, great for my 5 yr old and I wish they had one in Houston
Good food, strong margaritas, and unlimited video games at your table? They got all that. The staff was friendly and the place is huge and very clean. Definitely recommend this one for family game night or drunk Mario Karting (get a Lyft home though, this is real life homie). Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian stuff Dietary restrictions: My girlfriend has Celiac disease and they were able to accommodate her with gluten free dishes and modifications. The frier is communal, though, so no fried dishes. Parking: Nerdvana is right near many offices so after 5pm the parking opens up. Also a parking garage nearby. Kid-friendliness: The place is full of games, so it's great for kids... unless your kids are terrorists, then don't bring them, for everyone's sake. Wheelchair accessibility: On the first floor, so shouldn't be an issue.
I wish they would stop changing the menu... They used to have an amazing fried pork medallion plate that was a crowd favorite. It's no linger on the menu. Had the spicy Alfredo with chicken and shrimp. Was very good. Was also very spicy.
We’ve been to Nerdvana 3 times now and have enjoyed ourself every time! Wait times have typically been less than we expected, and the one time we did have to wait we did it at the bar, which might be my favorite place we’ve sat! The food and drinks are so much higher quality than I went in expecting, and they have a great selection of both! Some highlights: •The poutine fries are the BEST thing on the menu, highly recommend! •Some favorite drinks are the Diamond Butt Stallion, Moonstone LLD and Mad Moxxi. I love that all their stuff is named after video game culture! •Service has always been friendly and awesome! Some suggestions: •It would be nice to have set games (like 2-3) on each console, so that you know no matter where you sit you’ll have access to at least a few of the same games as anywhere else. Like every Switch should have Mario Kart, every Xbox should have Jackbox, etc. •During one of our visits, we were at a table that seated 4, and had 15ish games available on Xbox, but more than half were single player only? It would be nice if they had a better selection of local co-op games, we were surprised there were so few options at that table. •Game volume would be nice, even set low enough so that it isn’t overwhelming. All suggestions are meant with sincerity as we love this place and want to see it continue to thrive! We’ll definitely be back!
Great staff. Fun atmosphere. Knowledgeable bartender. Bar is fairly well stocked, but is missing some secondary bar essentials, so could be better. Overall great experience. Would visit again if in the area with spare time.
