Good Nando’s, orders always on time and good friendly staff
I had a very enjoyable experience at this Nando’s and the difference was made by the young lady that welcomed me at the door, Kelsey if I remember well, with a big smile and a warm “welcome to Nando’s.” She asked me if I had been in Nando’s before and if I had any allergies or intolerances. The restaurant was not so busy so she showed me the available seats and made me choose a table. I was on a business trip, so after placing the order, I was busy on my emails when Kelsey approached me and apologised explaining why there was a little delay in serving my meal, she informed me of the waiting time and asked me if I wanted a starter while waiting for my main. Her professional and kind attitude was a great surprise to me as over the last 10 years or so the basic of hospitality service seems to have disappeared. Kelsey didn’t need to go to the extra mile, she simply did what every person that works in hospitality should do: Caring about your customers in a genuine way and professionalism comes along with no extra efforts. Surely, I will visit again!
The butterfly chicken was dry, no salt at tables and none of the new Smokey sauce (the hornchurch restaurant not only introduced it but had bottles of it at every table). BUT Courtney was absolutely brilliant, really lovely and helpful, would happily return if in the area. Also the mac n cheese was beautiful
Although the main course was delayed, and typically we were Hank Marvin at least 2 members of staff and a manager kept us informed and updated and not left or forgotten about and even offered a complimentary olive starter. Well done guys.
Furniture old and looks dirty, chicken portions smaller than they used to be, overall not the best experience.
