Lao Bian Dumplings began during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. The founder, Fu Bian, was born in Renqiu, Hebei Province, and later came to Shenyang to make a living. In 1940, Lin Bian, the third generation successor of the Dumpling family, moved the dumpling house to the north Market in Shenyang at that time. The fifth generation successor is Bian Lin's grandson, named Borderland, and took over in the 1990s. In addition to major cities in China, Lao Bian dumplings are also available in Japan.
