Mom's Dream Kitchen

Mom's Dream Kitchen, formerly known as Collins Dream Kitchen, was established in 1987 by Ms. S Collins a single African American woman. Ms. Collins worked at several local grocery store delis as the head cook in Jackson. She decided to pursue her dreams and quit her job. Now, over 3 decades later the restaurant is still up and striving. In 2015 her son Dr. Timothy Norris changed the name of the restaurant to Moms Dream Kitchen, in honor of his mom. Even at 83, Ms. Collins still has a hand in the preparation of her food daily.
