Mijo's Authentic Mexican Food

Food was ok. Drinks were delicious. Customer service was excellent.

The food at Mijo’s is the best!!! Everything is fabulou!! Seriously try anything and you won’t be disappointed. You feel like they invited you to their home and made food just for you with love.

We were greeted by friendly staff. Sit anywhere. This place is so cute and cozy. We had a fun, friendly waitress. The cocktail menu is creative. Drinks are well crafted with fresh, quality ingredients. I recommend their Margarita. We ordered Carneasada quesadilla and Chicken Taco special. (Taco Tuesday) It comes with rice and beans. Excellent homemade food! Taste explosion in my mouth! Even the rice and beans were delicious with their own unique flavors. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a meal at Mijo! Disclosure: I did not know these people, nor are they relatives. They are just super nice people, and I wish them well!

This my own personal review of the new Mexican restaurant ("MIJO'S") on Rt 12 where Diamond Deli used to be (across from McDonald's) Truly thee BEST Mexican food around here!!! Reasonably priced, food portions are abundant, best guacamole than anywhere (and I've been to them all), and great Margaritas! Oh, and also, they have this roasted chic pea deliciousness thing that I highly recommend! However, I really recommend they offer this as a side dish... because it's so good. We had to request it on the side so we could try it but they did not disappoint. What else can you ask for??? You have to try it! Vegetarian options: They have options ....mainly the chic peas...delish!

Absolutely amazing food! The birria ramen is to die for!!! Super friendly and nice service, met the owner and the guys couldn’t be more nice and welcoming. Definitely recommend this place. The drinks are one point shaken up by Leo. My new go to Mexican place.

Walking in, you feel like you're entering into an old western with all the cool memorabilia around. As soon as you enter the doorway you are greeted by members of the Gomez family and staff and already feel like we are about to sit down at their dinner table. I was travelling with a 7 month old and they made all the necessary arrangements to make us comfortable. Once sitting you have the privilege of reading about their amazing story on the back of the menu which I would highly recommend. Now let's get to the food. Appetizers we started with the fresh made chips, the INCREDIBLE salsa and the Guac. I'm a taco guy all day everyday so I ordered all of the different tacos on the menu. My favorite has to be the Al Pastor with the pineapple. Drink wise I got the Habanero High Noon - hint of spicy with some amazing Mezcal. Overall experience, food, service, etc. was all on point. You can tell these guys make their food and drinks with love! So stop reading and get to Mijos - Our NEW Lake County gem!

We went for Taco Tuesday and the tacos were amazing, service was great, and prices were good! Even talked to the owners a little who were wonderful! Highly recommend!
