Over 100 years ago, Jesucita Mijares fled the revolution in Mexico in search of a new life for her family. After settling in Pasadena, she opened a small tortilla factory & established her restaurant, featuring her original recipes. Her tamales & salsas are still made with our volcanic Molino! Mijares Restaurant remains Pasadena's oldest and finest Mexican restaurant, serving authentic Mexican cuisine & award winning Margaritas. Our restaurant features festive indoor & patio dining with a historic banquet facility where Jesucita lived. Today, Mijares remains under the care of the her daughter Alice & three generations of family. In honor of our matriarch, we uphold her famous motto "Mi casa es su casa!" Welcome to Mijares!
